Two Great Ways To Spice Up Your Corporate Headshots

Blog

It's very common for corporations to feature headshots of the company's leaders on their website. Headshots give the public a point of reference so they will know who is running the business, just in case they need to get in touch with someone to voice a complaint or pay a compliment. Traditional headshots normally show people from about shoulder-height upward, normally with a white or neutral shade in the back. Although this has become the standard, you might be looking for a way to make your headshots stand out. Check out the following information so you'll get a better idea of how to spice up your corporate headshots.

Let Each Person Pick Their Setting

Nearly everyone has a hobby or past time that they enjoy doing. Let your team showcase a bit of their personality by allowing them to take their corporate picture in the setting that feels most natural to them.

There might be someone on your staff who enjoys horseback riding. They go to the ranch each week and take their favorite mare out for a stroll. Have the photographer snap a picture of them while they are riding. It doesn't even have to be an image that they are posing for. As long as they are facing the camera, a good photographer will be able to crop and edit the picture so that the individual's face is clear to see.

It is sure to look amazing when you get all of the photos back and compile them for your website. You'll have a glimpse into what your team loves and that can be a great way to build stronger bonds amongst everybody.

Get Colorful With The Backdrops

Plain, white backgrounds can look quite stale. White is typically used because it makes it easier for the person in the picture to come into focus. However, you aren't looking for the usual pictures. You want something different and that will stand out. Using colorful backdrops is a great way to make this happen.

Let everyone pick out the color that they want to use for their background. They can then wear clothing that enhances the shade to create an image that is absolutely unique.

There are no hard-and-fast rules that you have to follow when creating corporate headshots. Have fun with the process and you'll end up with great-looking shots that make your company's website stand out from the pack.

Good Photos Preserve Great Memories

When I was a child, it seemed like my parents never stopped taking photos of me and my brothers. I actually began to hide every time they got the camera out. When I moved out on my own, I vowed to never own a camera. I ended up purchasing a cell phone that had one, and after playing around with it a little, I learned how much fun it was to take photos! I loved it so much I went to school to learn how to be a professional photographer, and I enjoy every minute of my job. Just the other day, I took a look at all of my family's old photos and, I have to admit, I am so glad my parents took them! I have a little spare time to fill, so I decided to start a blog to share my photography tips! Come back often!
