It's All About The Two Of You: How To Achieve The Perfect Wedding Photographs

Blog

If you're getting married this summer, it's time to plan for the photography. Your photographs will provide you with a lasting memory of your special day. You want them to be everything you've dreamed of. After you've chosen the wedding photographer, you'll need to start planning for the actual pictures. Here are four steps you can take to make sure your photos come out flawless.

Don't Try to Pack It All Into One Day

You'll be going non-stop on your wedding day, and so will everyone else in the wedding party. If you plan all your photography for your wedding day, you might not have the outcome you were hoping for. The best way to avoid a stress-filled wedding party photography session is to schedule that session for a few days before the actual wedding day. That way, everyone can be fresh-faced and ready to go for the session. On the day of your wedding, your photographer can focus on the ceremony and reception, which will leave you and the wedding party to mix, mingle, and enjoy the festivities.

Get a Good Night's Rest

When you're having your wedding photographs taken, the last thing you want is to look tired. You don't want to have dark circles under your eyes in your wedding pictures. That's why it's so important that you get a good night's rest. Get to bed early so you can be refreshed for your pictures. It's also a good idea to give yourself a few minutes in the morning to refresh your eyes with chamomile tea bags. Soak the bags in lukewarm water, squeeze out the excess liquid, and place them on your eyes for about 15 minutes. The chamomile tea will reduce discoloration around your eyes, and remove any residual puffiness.

Have a Contingency Plan

You never know when the weather is going to refuse to cooperate. If you don't have a contingency plan, you could end up with a ruined wedding photography session. Before the big day, work with your photographer to come up with a contingency plan that will allow for weather changes. That way, you'll be ready to go on a moment's notice if the weather takes a turn for the worse.

Relax and Have Fun

You want your wedding photographs to be perfect, but that doesn't mean you need to stress over every detail during the session. While you're having your wedding pictures taken, relax and have fun. Not only will your photographs turn out better, but your photographer will be able to capture some great candid shots at the same time.

Good Photos Preserve Great Memories

When I was a child, it seemed like my parents never stopped taking photos of me and my brothers. I actually began to hide every time they got the camera out. When I moved out on my own, I vowed to never own a camera. I ended up purchasing a cell phone that had one, and after playing around with it a little, I learned how much fun it was to take photos! I loved it so much I went to school to learn how to be a professional photographer, and I enjoy every minute of my job. Just the other day, I took a look at all of my family's old photos and, I have to admit, I am so glad my parents took them! I have a little spare time to fill, so I decided to start a blog to share my photography tips! Come back often!
